Hot, Hot, Hot! Testing the Vulcain®2.1 engine for the first Ariane 6 flight

At the end of July, the Vulcain®2.1 engine for the first Ariane 6 flight successfully passed its acceptance test. This cryogenic engine delivers 135 metric tons of thrust in a vacuum. It will drive the Ariane 6 for the first eight minutes of flight.
